Abstract

This brief work proposes a reading from urban sociology that allows us to visualize an environment emanating from modernity as a dimension of change and innovation: the city as a material and objective space and, at the same time, with an intrinsic culture, which holds and Threatens to destroy the singularity of an individual prone to the roots, to the identities and customs that he produces and reproduces in his daily social practice. The proposal here is to think of urbanism from and to the social sphere; In particular, to think of urbanism from the perspective of urban sociology, which aims at the study of human beings, their interactions in the urban environment, which properly lead us to recognize values, aspirations, singular objectives as part of a culture that Is created and recreated in the city.
