Introducción al pensamiento sociológico de Alvin Gouldner

Abstract

Alvin Gouldner is a relatively unknown autor in our environment, he caused great controversy in the United States due to its radical positions against the dominant “official” sociology at American academia. In this article we want to present some topics of the author’s work and his professional career as a sociologist, also its central proposal on a reflexive sociology wich raises critical and is his reason for being and his fundamental line: the sociology of knowledge. Therefore, the dialectic of ideology and technology, raises as a central point of his thought as its epistemological reflection, centered in to analysing the marxist proposal and positive sociology of Comte. In his theory of knowledge comes to identify on the subject itself, the subject and the object thru reflection, not only the subject as an individual, but as a collective subject, that is to say the body of intellectuals whose imperative social mandate is to reflect for understand our concrete totality in a clear sequence of the ideas proposed by Luckas.
