El sentido de lo nuevo en la economía cultural de internet
Abstract
This paper centers on the internet and the cultural economy that it generates. While the concept of economy is frequently presented from a monetary perspective, here, we attempt a different reading and approach the subject from the viewpoint of digital culture. Cultural economy has been thoroughly analyzed by Boris Groys, a German philosopher concerned, among other aspects, on the notion of the new, the politics of the immortal and the archives. To a certain extent, this work represents a defense of Groys’s ideas applied to the internet, these concepts are not too distant from each other, but they are also key to understanding the universe of cybermediatic life. What is new on the internet?, How the new is created?, What role does technology play in the construction of the new?, What does the new mean in the world of XXI Century cyberspace?
