Abstract

Social genesis of psychology in Mexico. Experimental psychology at National University of Mexico. This paper intends to contribute to the intelligibility of the processes of psychology development in our country. Social genesis and psychology institutionalization are essential to understand their current situation and the explosive growth that has suffered in recent years. The institutionalization of this discipline reveals the process of growth and dissemination, but the way in which this process is founded, built and structured from a social mandate. Put another way, the psychology in Mexico can not be an abstraction of specific mandates that guide it in terms of its constitution as a fragmented state, unable to assume its plurality and diversity. The creation of a Mexican subject is, thus, its project and its social origin, especially its formative process during the liberal period, is particularly important. Key Word: experimental psychologi, social genesis, institutionalization, national university.
