Abstract

The aim of this paper is to present some conceptual discussions about the social construction of inequality. Our perspective links inequality to a processual or relational point of view. Inequality cannot be explained only as an economic problem over access to opportunities. It is argued that in a world characterized for flexible work agreements and feelings such as uncertainty, risk, insecurity and injustice, the normalization of relations of power maintains rejecting and resistance alternatives in the development of hidden discourses and informal practices of the subordinated subjects. Finally, we consider some forms of preejudice and hierarchy in order to evidence the multiplicational process of inequalities. KEY WORDS: inequality, injustice, flexibility, resistance.
