Abstract

After almost 40 year of the start of the European Community effort to institutionalize its relationships with Mediterranean countries, this article presents a review, under the umbrella of the European Development Policy, of each and every policy implemented since 1972 to this date, considering its intents, scope, evolutionary framework, achievements and eventual collapse.
