Abstract

This article claims to discuss some of the central proposals on the link between culture and space, emphasizing the characteristics of the process of de terriitorialization. This involves considering how the concept of space is understood and its implications, as well as the connections between space and the notions of iden tity and border. Finally, they are brought to the discussion certain resonances of the deterritorialization process, particularly those that points out the controversy over the validity or imminent expiration of the Nation-State and its possible consequences on the social and cl'ltural dimensions of today's world.
