Abstract
The quality of education as a dependant variable of the teaching formation and of the competences teacher’s must acquire in new technologies is considered an answer to the actual demands of technology applied to education, including didactic, communicational and social skills that allow an appropriate coordination of the teaching-learning process. This involves clearing some wrong ideas about the quality of education from parents and teachers, considering the learning objectives. Student’s competence acquisition has a referent in the skills teachers must acquire according to the teaching tasks that the information and knowledge society demands.
