Abstract

The paper presents a mapping of some of the fields of contemporary knowledge production such as whiteness studies, postcolonial theory, literary criticism and feminism that have considered whiteness as a racial experience. Here it is understood that whiteness as a cultural, social and political construct has been studied very little in the Latin American context, despite its prominence in the general life of our countries; in this context, this paper contributes a systematic study of several of the investigations on this topic, from a feminist and postcolonial perspective.
