Abstract
this article deals with the analysis of traditional knowledge and farm supplies in the in the farming municipality of Dzidzantún, Yucatan. This research has a non-experimental, cross-sectional, explanatory design and a qualitative style. The methodology combined field observation and gathering information from opened interviews and life stories, in order to record the knowledge, experiences and life stories of farmers in the municipality. The conclusions of the study indicate that traditional knowledge remain in the memory of farmers, their application is less than or has been releted by new technologies. This is due to market demands and the paradigm change in farmers, which focus on producing larger areas to ensure a decent income although this is at the expense of the environment.
