Construcción de identidad de los jóvenes migrantes rural-urbanos. El caso de la población en situación de desplazamiento forzado de la ciudad de Medellín

Abstract

migration, expressed recently in phenomena sush as internal forced displacement by violence that affecting Colombia, has deep repercussions from their structural and symbolic violence of youth identity and the same time, construction legitimate recurring situations of direct violence and stigmatization. Young migrant rural- urbano r members of the second or third generation of migrants suffer strong breaks in the construction of youth identity, starting from process of uprooting that split them values and rural traditional models of their parents and grandparents, and placed them in an urban framework which does not belong, facing them dilemnas as not knowing “where to go, or they become” (Hobsbaum, 2000, p. 146). They have a vague memory of the significant rural and urban have difficulties to build related job or residencial, by constant processes of exclusion and marginalization fof those who are victims. As a result, for these yuong people the city ends falling to the neighborhood, as space for resignificance of teritoriality, place where battling their constant struggles to find a form of representation outside the idea of victims or perpetrator. This article aims to make a tour of violences direct, sturctural and symbolic that young children of displaced persons face in day to day in cities like Medellín, and the impact that they have on the processes of re construction of identity, an identity which is moved from the rural, related to their traditional values, but that doesnot still hold in urban space.
