Abstract

This text analyze multidimensionally the movement of farm laborers in the Valley of San Quintín, Baja California, in the context of breakdown with their union and the resistances that were created to rise against the precarious conditions that were subject; all this, in the light of an atmosphere of violence and threats against any attempt to mobilize. The struggle for labor rights in that entity has several characteristics that we discussed in this paper. In addition, a unifying and explanatory axis is the indigenous ingredient, which is the workforce exploited by agro-export companies who needs an army of cheap men, women and children.
