Abstract

The dynamics of social violence are associated with different conditions, actions and limit situations where horror and everyday fear is increasingly concretized in the threat and experience of kidnapping. In these lines, through the use of the journalistic narratives that some victims of kidnapping do in the first person, we try to recover the experiences of captivity, but also the conditions and ways in which contemporary violence manifests itself and suffers. Hearing the word of the victims may mean an act of restitution and ethical and social recognition, but it can also be a conscious and active awareness-raising mechanism.
