Abstract

the history of cycles of institutionalization and deinstitutionalization in the Independent México provides a framework for studying the effects and incentives that the prevailing political framework offered to political actors and the effects it had on the political culture (political attitudes subjective and objective effects on behavior). It requires the development of an adequate conceptual framework to México and to stop applying indiscriminately models designed for american history. Furthermore, it to incorporatein the analysis both formal institutions and specially informal ones. The study by historical periods allows to take into account the consequences of generational change on political socialization. In the case of México several cycles of institutionalization can be distinguished: a) 1810-1904 b) 1904-1968 c) 1968-2010.
