Ante el pensamiento tradicional dual, educar desde un término medio en búsqueda del desarrollo de la persona
Abstract
the mentality of western culture is full of dualities: people have body and soul, we know by experience or reason, among others. From the classicalGreek thought until a few decades ago, divide, oppose and classify, have been part of the intellectual habits therefore have been present in education. In this area the main contradictions have been: information or formation, self-education or heteroeducación, individual or social education. Among the many dualities of the current educational debate, two were chosen for analysis: first, to increase the development or defend an austere life with decrease and, secondly, to strengthen the ancestral traditions or help create cosmopolitan citizens. This article is part of that reality, duality is described indicating the authors from which it comes and is asumed an intermediate approach, integrative and without the classical oppositions, in order to help complete development of the person.
