Recursos naturales en la Ciudad de México
¿qué hacer y quienes?
Abstract
Regional welfare is explained based upon natural resource endowments (abiotic and biotic diversity). Dating from the Conquest, natural resources of the basin of Mexico have been exploited according to a rationality in conflict with the environment. If we cross the biological with the social, as in Mexico City- where such a mixture expands over large regions, altering various forms of the natural habitats of many animal and plant species and depleting many natural resources to their limits- this phenomenon has increased the vulnerability of biodiversity, and put sustainable development at risk by limiting local environmental services
