Abstract
The main goal of this article is to analyze, considering the 2008 Electoral Reform and based in 8 political surveys, the way the citizens of Mexico City assign preferences for political parties and actors, evaluating also the administrative and governing abilities of 12 politicians selected due to their possibilities to be candidates or due to their influence in electoral processes. The time considered in this study ranges from 2006 to the beginning of 2012, covering intermediate and presidential elections. We used non proportional aleatory samples, which during several years gave very good estimations, as vote intention by party. Our contribution can be condensed as giving a measure of the lack of trust from the citizens and determinating partially the effect of campaigns, aspects that greatly affect electoral behavior, even after the 2008 electoral reforms.
