Voto diferenciado y resultados electorales en las elecciones del 2012

Abstract

Differential vote in México has become an important expression that shows the way voters are turning more sophisticated. The voter’s choice show how there is a judgment over the electoral process, the main actors and the political landscape. There is an analytical process from the voters whose differential vote let us know about the candidate’s campaign, their party structure, their weakness and strong points. This article presents an analysis about the differential vote on last July’s elections in México. First there is a description on differential vote, on Federal elections, considering each of the Political Parties, also results on deputies and senators, facing to Presidential results and general trends of the election. The analysis of particular results of governors and municipal office face to the Presidential results is on the second part. Finally, on the third part, presents the results of an empirical work based on opinion poll made on Distrito Federal’s voters that shows the electorate behavior, the perception of the political space as well as the motivations that define the differential vote.
