Las elecciones presidenciales de México en 2012. Las bases regionales del regreso del PRI a la Presidencia
Abstract
The victoy of the PRI’s presidential candidate in the federal election of 2012 outlines from the gubernatorial elections held during the preceding years. The weight of the local electoral machines has been combined with the preferences of a large segment of the electorate who decide their vote on their own; this situation has generated changing electoral alliances woven among the parties and has led to drastic changes in the results of the local elections; it has also influenced the format of the party system . The differences between the results of the presidential election, the federal deputies elections and the governors election point in the same direction; the same is true when analyzing the results of the presidential election disaggregated by state.
