Instituciones locales, territorio y desarrollo rural. Discrepancias y aprendizajes en dos experiencias municipales
Abstract
In this paper, we expose two weaknesses of Rural Territorial Development Approach in terms of the creation of institutions and promotion of a regional economy, and particularly the importance this approach has in Mexico in terms of the development of legislation, institution building and implementation of public policy (as shown the Municipal Councils of Sustainable Rural Development), which maintain the mechanisms of exclusion to peasants and small farmers. This is done by analyzing the Tlahuapan, Puebla Municipal Council, Puebla and microregions of Las Margaritas, Chiapas.
