Abstract

Territory and politics are also spheres mediated by representations. These mediations have become increasingly industrialized and more dependent on new technologies. At the time of the great colonies, scientific cartography was the main protagonist. Today the most visible image of globalization is the Internet. Therefore to explore how these mediations have changed alongside the changes in the spatial distribution of power, I propose an approach to the new graphic user interfaces as maps of the XXI century allowing us to explore the terrae incognitae of the present.
