Habitar un mundo globalizado
Abstract
Beyond the study of globalization, analyzed from the perspective of its economic impact on the restructuring of countries and regions, a rethinking of our way of “inhabiting” the Earth is essential. To inhabit, in the philosophical sense of “being-in-the-world”, is the essence of humanity. In the face of rampant globalization, it is imperative to understand how our inhabiting has been redefined in a globalized world. To do so, this article will discuss new forms of territorial uprooting, the role of new technologies in mobility or sedentarization, politopia and our new concept of nature, intertwined factors that posit a different territoriality and an inhabiting transformed in an increasingly globalized world.
