La seguridad pública y las organizaciones civiles en México

Abstract

Noted that Mexican civil society addresses the issue of public safety for the high rates of violence in recent years would be an exaggeration. However, some civil organizations that serve diverse topics and problems concerning society, promote actions related to public safety. Thus, some organizations are mobilizing their resources to assist victims of crime through counseling, seminars, research and lobbying political actors in order to obtain improvements in public safety system. Civil society is now seen as a means by which organized citizen participation can influence decisions of government.
