Radiografía sociopolítica del Estado de México para un análisis electoral en perspectiva histórica (1993-2011)
Abstract
In order to show the qualities attributed to the entity and which constitute the national value-explanatory features, this paper presents the most relevant data of the Mexico State: its heterogeneity, geographical location, economic, political and social characteristics. It also presents a graphical and statistical strategy to briefly develop the main features of electoral behavior, both in municipal elections and MPs, as in governor elections. It also presents the contextual features that marked the most recent election for governor on July 3, 2011, in which took place several sui generis political phenomena, such as local electoral reform of 2010 and the PAN-PRD frustrated alliance. This is important in terms of political turmoil after the 2012 presidential election.
