Diferencia, igualdad y desigualdad social. Una discusión de la "teoría sociológica del mercado de trabajo" en el contexto internacional
Abstract
Difference, social equality and inequality. A discussion about a “sociological theory of labor market” in an international context. The central approach of the article is that the current neoliberal labor market is organized into segments and guidelines that reflect but, above all, worsen social inequalities. However, it is argued that in applying sociological theory of labor market over three outcomes of social inequality –gender discrimination, informal economy and migration, in the comparative context of Latin America (particularly Mexico) and Western Europe–, it can not adopt only a liberal-functionalist position to eliminate the worst disparities in labor market, should rather review the importance of the differences for most affected social groups by the labor market which is segmented on a social inequalities basis.
