Nueva ruralidad y desarrollo territorial. Una perspectiva desde los sujetos sociales

Abstract

This paper questions the capacity of the traditional definitions, generally rural dichotomous in order to shed light on the operated transformations in this field in the last years, as well as the elements that remain in the rural world. From a critic analysis of the various positions of the so called new rurality, we adopted this concept under the rural individuals approach. The aforementioned forces the reformulation of the development models that rest, mostly in a sectorial rural definition in order to pass to a proposal that expands the territorial look and the multifuncionality of agriculture. The territory emerges in this way as an analysis category and at the same time it's a political proposal about the rural World that tries to shed light on the series of transformations that exceeds the conventional limits, assuming an integral, transdisciplinary and global approach.
