Abstract
This article shows how since the consolidation of the national states, politicians and traders use science mainly to benefit their interests. It also describe some of the horrors produced during XXth century by science at the service of war, and emphasize the necessity of not forgetting them under the risk of repeating them, as well as the urgency for scientists to own an ethic code that allow them to resist the amoral pressures of the political and economic power.
