Las ciencias sociales
Un insumo para las plíticas públicas
Abstract
The profound crisis experienced by Argentina affects the essential foundations of the nation. The shortage of proposals and projects capable of rebuilding the social relations within the State require a critical reflection to help diagnose and approximate solutions to today’s problems of the Argentine nation. The multidisciplinary knowledge generated from the social and human sciences is a good start in getting those goals and contribute to the formulation of public policy for medium and long term. The work looks at the road traveled by the social sciences in the second half of the twentieth century to find out what can and should be expected of them. Shows the relationship between social conditions and objects and forms of analysis of these sciences. It concludes that science, politics and society have kept and maintained “contentious relationship” and that of the range that is given to the first –while political decision– will depend the welfare of the latter, and thus obtaining inclusion, freedom and equality of opportunity for the Argentines.
