Abstract

In this paper, we try to widen the statistical analysis of the school coverage of higher education Institutions (IES in Spanish), exploring the distribution given to the Metropolitan Area in Mexico city, as regards to the amount of registered students within the various study plans that are part of the teaching-learning process (E-A in Spanish), by knowledge sector, the number of IES by geopolitical location, the amount of IES and their campus, the administrative structures that are considered to be ideal for the academic and administrative organization. All of this, in both, public and private education. KEY WORDS: public and private regime, study plan types, knowledge area, academic and administrative organization.
