Los desafíos para el análisis de una nueva realidad internacional. El ejemplo de la crisis internacional en torno a Crímea

  • Guadalupe Pacheco Méndez

Abstract

structural realism and institutionalist neoliberalism are two theories of International Relations that flourished throughout the Cold War. Doubtlessly, structural realism is the paradigm that had the greatest impact in those decades of the last century. At the end of the XXth century, when the Cold War came to an end, other theoretical proposals on how to analyze international affairs also consolidated: constructivism and french contemporary geopolitics, more scientific and interdisciplinary. Each of these approaches highlights different aspects of international problems, but they are not necessarily incompatible and may be complementary, as shown by their application in the face of the international crisis of 2014 around Crimea.
